Cocktail Contest Terms and Conditions

Prizes

All participants in the competition between 1st of August and 11th of September 2023 will have the chance to win one of the 4 prizes below:

  • The top 10 UK entries will have access to a private masterclass on “Public Speaking for Cocktail competition” hosted by Doctor Cocktail’s Owner and Founder Nicolas Medicamento.
  • The winners of the cocktail competition and social media competition will receive a recognition as the “Amazzoni Gin UK Champion”, a trip to Brazil* for 5 days all expenses paid (excluding personal expenses and mini bar fees at the hotel) to participate in the Grand International Final in November 2023 (dates TBC)

    *Subject to valid passport and valid 6 months after the date of entry into Brazil and Covid vaccinations up to date in conformation to the health measures applied to the period of travel. If the winner cannot go for any reason, the 2nd ranked will be awarded the prize.

  • The 2nd prize is a dinner and drinks in a London restaurant for the next 1 participant on the ranking.
  • The 3rd prize will receive 2 vouchers respectively one of £250 to spend on Amázzoni Gin products at “Drink With Sasha” in 25 Duke St, London W1U 1DJ and £150 to spend on “The Lucky Drinker” website.

Entry requirements

Participants must submit their entries on nomad-collection/cocktail-contest no later than 11th of September 2023 23:59.

Participants must use the official hashtags on their communication on social media and other digital platforms (#amazzonicontestUK #brazilcalling #amazzonigin #nomadcollection #saveourforrest)

Participants will be contacted by email to confirm their place in the National Final in London, September the 25th (2023).

The Cocktail making

  • 40ml minimum of Amazzoni Gin must be in the recipe shared. Must not be de natured
  • Short or long drink
  • Garnishes are not considered ingredients.
  • 5 ingredients maximum
  • Recipes which can be easily replicated are preferred. Ingredients will ideally be readily/widely available products, fruit and commonly found bar products. Home-made ingredients should be simple to prepare and have detailed instructions on preparation methods. You may use any equipment you wish to make your drinks; however, preference will be given to those that use standard equipment.
  • You are free to use any type of vessel.
  • You will have 8 minutes to present your serve and mix 4 cocktails for the 3 judges + 1 for the picture.
  • Your serve must be an original creation (it can be inspired by a classic). Plagiarized a known or an existing cocktail will disqualify you.
  • You are encouraged to talk to the judges while making your drink. Points will be awarded for creativity, sustainability and visual.
  • Points will also be awarded for social media

Copyright

By entering this competition, you agree to assign copyright of your recipe and drink name to the organisers.

Contenders and drinks presented during the competition may be photographed (still or motion picture) by the organisers and copyright of these images for any use, including advertising, will be retained by the organisers.

Our engagement

Nomad Collection and Amazzoni Gin will be supporting Vem Do Xingu, a network of indigenous and riverine local associations from Middle Land, Xingu, in the Amazon rain forest that works to strengthen the alliance between communities and to preserve 9 million hectares of forest. We will be donating £2 per bottle of Amazzoni sold in UK to Vem Do Xingu, for the duration of the competition.
